From professional musician to banker to entrepreneur, Jason Block is an angel investor and the founder of Maiora Asset Management, Maiora Renewable Energy as well as the digital health company, Kenzai. He has invested in and developed over 1GW of renewable energy projects throughout the globe, most recently partnering with a major Japanese bank and one of the largest energy companies in Japan to IPO what is now the largest infrastructure REIT in Asia. Jason’s focus is on “investing with purpose” in particular in the bio/health/green tech, defi, and sustainable energy spaces. He believes that there is a need to ensure a sustainable future for all and that a strong ESG component is imperative to any investment he or his firm makes.
