On October 24, 2022, Willbox, inc., operator of the international logistics platform “Giho,” announced that it raised approximately 700 million yen ($4.7M) in a Series A round.

Willbox is a startup that aims to solve the problems of the international logistics industry, which is an inefficient industry with limited options due to lack of digitalization.

Giho, the company's international logistics platform, is a cloud-based service that directly connects logistics providers with a database of shipper companies that handle large cargo. The core of Giho is the "Giho Engine," a technology that consists of patented and proprietary technologies. Giho Engine enables the entire process from packing to exporting, from quotation to process management, and the collected data is analyzed to facilitate the next export.

Willbox announced on October 24, 2022, that it has raised a total of approximately 700 million yen in a Series A round. Existing investor SMBC Venture Capital led the round, and Salesforce Ventures, Golden Asia Fund III, Mizuho Capital, and existing investors such as Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, Marubeni Ventures, and ANOBAKA participated.

Willbox plans to use the funds to accelerate the development of its services to expand its customer base, as well as to expand its domestic base and launch its business in Taiwan.
