I’m CEO and the owner of JPEX America and an angel investor with NuFund Venture Group. While running several companies globally I have been investing startup companies.

I was born and grew up in the center of Tokyo. When I was a college student in Japan, I got a scholarship to study in the University of California, Irvine for a year in 2008. I came back to the United States in 2015 to start my own business. I was able to partner with large telecom carriers and opened 10+ retail locations. Our locations were acquired by one of the large retail groups in 2019. After the exit, I launched EC site “Amesma” offering a reasonable wireless service to Japanese people in the United States. We gained thousands of customers very rapidly and became a leader of this niche industry. We collaborated with famous influencers on social media and we were able to spread the service name out in the entire industry.

While expanding the business in the telecom industry, I decided to expand my business domain to other industries. In 2018, I closed a strategic acquisition deal, which was one of most renowned Sushi chain restaurants in Los Angeles. I also started to invest in several start-up companies in medical industry. I am currently a member of one of the largest angel investor groups at the West Coast, NuFund Venture Group and actively looking for opportunities to invest in start-up companies.

I've been in the tech startup scene for 12 years since 2010 when I was a college student, founded 6 startups in various industries with 2 exits. Worked for Rocket Internet, helped them venture build startup from scratch, scale it to 9 countries in South East Asia market, to reach 8-figures exit. 

I'm also an Angel Investor in few startups and startup Mentor for university students accross Indonesia through a student startup program, supported by  Indonesia government, Ministry of Education and Culture.

At 2010, when I was in college , I started my first startup because my Dad was bankrupt. I worked at 6 different jobs to earn money for my living, pay my dorm room rent, pay my tuition fee, buy books and for foods. Earned my first $10k, then use it to fund my 1st startup, even there were no VC yet in the market, super small talent pool who knows about startup.

I want to give back to the society, to other student founders, that everything is possible. Don't think about Mark Zuckerberg or Steve Jobs, there's also another ex-student founder that exists and made it, nearby in Indonesia as an example.
